ADOPTION PROCESS
Complete an Adoption Application
All our adoptions are completed in person.
If you are ready to take the next step, please ask a team member for an application. Once your application is completed, we will review the application with you, learn about you and which cat you are interested in adopting, and answer any questions.
Adoption Fee
The adoption fee for cats and kittens is $145. If you adopt two kitty cats at once, the adoption fee is $245. Application fees are due at the time your application is completed.
All cats and kittens have received a physical health check, tested for FIV/FELV, treated for parasites, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, including rabies.
Application Processing
Please allow 3-4 days for processing your application.
A team member from Whiskerville or Cat Smart Coalition will review the application and contact your vet reference(s) to ensure proper care for your current pets and contact your landlord if you are currently renting. If you are renting and a pet deposit is required, this must be paid to your landlord prior to adoption approval.
All verifications must be completed prior to final approval.
Once approved, we will call/email you to coordinate the time for pickup.

Adoption Day
You will receive a copy of all the vet records for your new cat.
You will receive a 20 lb. bag of Dr. Elsey’s litter.
We will take a picture of you and your new furry family member for our adoption wall.
You must bring a cat carrier with you on adoption day.
