FAQs
How does a Kitty Cat Café benefit cats and potential adopters?
At Whiskerville, our foster cats are able to roam freely within our Kitty Cat Lounge. Guests can observe and engage with the cats in a cage free environment, which enables them to connect with multiple cats at a time and see their unique purrsonalities! This interactive experience allows adopters to truly bond with the cats and help them find the perfect feline companion for themselves or family.
Can I visit even if I’m not looking to adopt?
Of course, and we want you to! There are so many cat lovers in our community that aren’t able to adopt but love the company of cats! Spending time with cats can be a relaxing and therapeutic experience, and we encourage you to come socialize with our cats even if you do not intend to adopt. The cats will love the extra attention, and we have so many other exciting events at the Kitty Cat Café that you won’t want to miss out on!
What does the Café serve?
We aren’t the traditional café in the typical sense. We have a self-serve coffee bar separate from our kitty cat lounge, or you can choose from a variety of bottled beverages. We serve prepackaged snacks and yummy, sweet treats in our café area. You can sip and snack in our café area or take them into the kitty cat lounge. Just don’t share with the kitty cats.
Where do you get the cats from?
We have partnered with Cat Smart Coalition and all our foster cats come from this non-profit organization. We act as a foster home for the cats and all the cats in the Kitty Cat Lounge are available for adoption. All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, flea and parasite control, vaccinated for rabies, microchipped, FeLV/FIV tested, and ready for their forever home!
Do you offer private parties?
Yes, and we would love to host a party for you. If you are interested in reserving the kitty cat lounge for a private party, please contact us.
Is there an age limit?
Yes, you must be 7 years or older to enter the Kitty Cat Lounge. Anyone ages 7-15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Children under the age of 7 can visit our Kitty Cat Lounge on special days! We offer Kitty Kiddy days every Friday (all day) and every other Sunday from NOON-2pm.
Why is there a fee to visit the Kitty Cat Lounge?
We don’t do it for the money, but we can’t continue our mission without it. The entrance fee helps to cover the cost of housing, cat essentials, and the care for our 9 foster cats.
The café/gift shop is open to everyone during business hours.
For one hour visit to the Kitty Cat Lounge, there will be an admission fee of $13 (Wednesday-Thursday) or $15 (Friday-Sunday). We also allow 30-minute visits for $10 on a walk-in basis.
Can I bring my own cat?
As much as we would love to meet your sweet feline friend(s), please leave them at home. For the safety of your cat and our foster cats, this is not permitted. We have plenty of kitty cats here for you to play and cuddle with while you’re here!
Are reservations required for the Kitty Cat Lounge?
While reservations are not required, we highly recommend them. We only allow a small number of guests in our Kitty Cat Lounge at a time, so booking your reservation will ensure you can visit with the kitties. We do allow walk-in visits, upon availability.
