Kitty Cat Lounge Rules

Please sanitize your hands before entering the Kitty Cat Lounge. We encourage you to sanitize your hands after visiting with the cats as well.

Please make sure the door to the Kitty Cat Lounge is completely closed and be cautious as you enter/exit the lounge. We don’t want any cats to sneak out!

Cats can get scared when there are loud noises. Please interact with the cats in a peaceful and calm manner. No screaming, running, or chasing the cats.

Please do not pick up the cats. The cats will come to you, and we have numerous toys to grab their attention.

Please do not disturb cats while they are eating or drinking.

Please do not disturb the cats that are sleeping. Feel free to gently pet them, but cats need their sleep too, and like to take catnaps.

Only food and drink from our café area are allowed in the Kitty Cat Lounge. Please do not feed the cats any human food or beverage. They have their own food and treats.

Please take pictures and videos! Our PURRecious kitty cats are too cute not to capture their sweet PURRsonalities! We would love for you to share your photos and videos on social media and tag us! Please refrain from using your flash when taking photos of our cats.

Children must be at least 7 years of age to enter the Kitty Cat Lounge. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult in the lounge area. We require a signed waiver for everyone who enters the lounge area. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. No more than 2 children per adult 18 or over will be permitted.

If there is any rambunctious behavior in the Kitty Cat Lounge and these rules are not being followed, our Whiskerville Team has the right to ask you to leave, even if your time is not up. Refunds will not be given if you are asked to leave.

Your visit makes a difference! Every admission fee to interact with our cats enables us to continue our mission. These fees help with essential cat supplies, rent, utilities, and allow us to continue to foster more kitty cats. You aren’t just playing with cats; you are helping us provide a safe and loving space for them and promote cat adoptions in Gaston County!
Waiver
Cats are animals and they can be temperamental at times, especially if someone holds them or touches them in a certain way that makes them scared or uncomfortable. They may show their fear or discomfort by hissing, scratching, or even biting. Even while playing they may scratch or give love bites. It is important that all Kitty Cat Lounge guests understand this and use caution when interacting with our foster cats, as we cannot guarantee their behavior or actions. Please understand that your visit is at YOUR OWN RISK. For this reason, we ask each participant to sign a waiver. A link to an electronic waiver will be emailed to you after your online purchase, or you may sign one at registration when you arrive.
Family Hours
Have kids under 7 and want to come visit the Kitty Cat Lounge? We have a special "Kiddy Kitty" time every other Sunday from 12-2pm. We only allow 2 children per one adult. Please make sure to make a reservation under "Kiddy Kitty Time" if you have at least one child under the age of 7. (Starting June 29th).
